Gram
Founders' flagship
Battleship Gram[ᚠ] |
The streamlined, 22,000 displacement-ton, jump-3, 3G acceleration, tech level 12, Sword-class battleship that was flagship of the fleet — including "six lesser destroyers and escorts" — which brought the Founders to Gram from the Old Earth Union (GJ0725, "The Sacnoth Dominate"; GBJ1, p. 34) The former Old Earth Union warship was named for a mythological sword of ancient Old Terran legend.
Gram now serves as a core element of Gram Station, the orbital highport component of Gram's starport.

Arianrhod
Artemis-class sloop
Sloop Arianrhod[ᚩ] |
The 100 displacement-ton Arianrhod is an Artemis-class sloop built at shipyards on Hofud. The ship is capable of jump-2 and 2G acceleration and has accommodations for four crew and three passengers (with a single-occupancy stateroom for the ship commander and double-occupancy staterooms for most of the crew and the passengers) and no low berths. The ship carries one air/raft and can carry three tons of cargo. Arianrhod is armed with a double pulse laser turret. The streamlined ship has fuel scoops for skimming unrefined fuel from a gas giant and a fuel purification plant.
The Artemis-class sloops are an older class of ships nearing the end of their planned service lives. Arianrhod was acquired by Sting from Hofud and has recently been refurbished at Windwatch starport for service with the Home Guard.

LaQuinta
Caravanserai-class trader

The 200 displacement-ton LaQuinta is a Caravanserai-class trader built at shipyards on Hofud. The ship is capable of jump-1 and 1G acceleration and has four crew staterooms (pilot, medic, engineer and steward), six staterooms for high (or middle) passengers and 20 low berths. The ship can carry 82 tons of cargo. LaQuinta is unarmed but has hardpoints for two turrets. The streamlined ship has fuel scoops for skimming unrefined fuel from a gas giant but no fuel purification plant.
Based at Hofud, LaQuinta has no fixed route, travelling to the seemingly most profitable destination from its current port of call. Most often this will mean a world along the Dyrnwyn Spur or in the Rim Colonies but LaQuinta has traded along the Horseshoe and the Far Leg many times.

Mirny

The ship is capable of jump-1 and 1G acceleration and has four crew staterooms (pilot, medic, engineer and steward), six staterooms for high (or middle) passengers and 20 low berths. The ship can carry 82 tons of cargo. Mirny is unarmed but has hardpoints for two turrets. The streamlined ship has fuel scoops for skimming unrefined fuel from a gas giant but no fuel purification plant.
Though its home port is listed as Colada, Mirny has no fixed route, travelling to the seemingly most profitable destination from its current port of call. Most often this will mean a world along the Horseshoe but Mirny has traded along the Far Leg and the Dyrnwyn Spur and even in the Rim Colonies.

Marsvin participated in the first Trailing Frontier Exploring Expedition leaving Biter on 14 Júlí 25 D.E. and returning four years later on 25 Ágúst 29 D.E., having travelled trailward along the Trailing frontier main as far as Xochitl and Skræp (ten one-parsec jumps from Biter) in the Chrysaor cluster, exploring thirteen star systems and discovering the non-Human Sepirelding along the way

The 300 displacement-ton Hart is a Milu-class cutter built at shipyards on Gram and decommissioned by the Dominate after the Sacnoth-Gram War in accordance with the Von Reuter Provisos. The ship is capable of jump-2 and 5G acceleration and has accommodations for twelve crew with a handful of single-occupancy staterooms, double-occupancy staterooms for most of the crew and no low berths. The ship has a single launch (20-ton small craft) and can carry six tons of cargo. Hart is armed with four triple pulse laser turrets. The partially-streamlined, amoured ship has fuel scoops for skimming unrefined fuel from a gas giant and a fuel purification plant.
Hart participated in the Badawi Adventure, a private expedition from Gram, leaving Isenfang on 28 Nóvember 37 D.E. and returning 15 months later on 07 Febrúar 39 D.E., travelling across the coreward rift and along the Danuuz frontier trace as far as Aroundight (four one-parsec jumps from Isenfang), exploring four star systems.

The 400 displacement-ton Þóra is a Karen-class merchant built at shipyards on Sacnoth. The ship is capable of jump-1 and 1G acceleration and has five crew staterooms (pilot, navigator, medic, engineer and steward), eight staterooms for high (or middle) passengers and 20 low berths. The ship has one launch (20-ton small craft) and can carry 200 tons of cargo. Þóra is unarmed but has hardpoints for two turrets. The streamlined ship has fuel scoops for skimming unrefined fuel from a gas giant and a fuel purification plant.
Based at Sacnoth, Þóra serves a regular route along the Far Leg to Narsil, alternating with extensions along the Horseshoe to Tizon or along the Dyrnwyn Spur to Dyrnwyn.

Sanjō

The 400 displacement-ton Sanjō is a Shuinsen-class merchant built at shipyards on Hofud. The ship is capable of jump-2 and 4G acceleration and has accommodations for seven crew and eight high passengers (or up to sixteen middle passengers). The ship's original low berths have been converted into a sickbay. The ship has one launch (20-ton small craft) and can carry 66 tons of cargo. Sanjō is unarmed but has hardpoints for two turrets. The streamlined ship has fuel scoops for skimming unrefined fuel from a gas giant and a fuel purification plant.
Sanjō participated in the Damsgaard Expedition, the Second Rim Frontier Exploring Expedition, leaving Biter on 23 Júlí 29 D.E. and returning three years later on 14 September 32 D.E., having travelled rimward along the rimward trace of the Rim frontier main as far as Lydia (ten one-parsec jumps from Biter) in the Hoding cluster, exploring fifteen star systems, including two port calls at Caladbolg.

Enheduanna

The 400 displacement-ton Enheduanna is a Sargon-class schooner built at shipyards on Gram and decommissioned by the Dominate after the Sacnoth-Gram War in accordance with the Von Reuter Provisos. The ship is capable of jump-3 and 4G acceleration and has twelve staterooms with accommodations for eighteen crew (pilot, navigator, three engineers, medic, four gunners and eight troops) and four low berths. The ship has a single launch (30-ton small craft) and a Grav Carrier and can carry 50 tons of cargo. Enheduanna is armed with two triple pulse laser turrets and two tripple missile turrets. The streamlined, amoured ship has fuel scoops for skimming unrefined fuel from a gas giant and a fuel purification plant.
Enheduanna is currently in service with the Joyeuse Home Guard.

Kjarki
Hugrekki-class schooner

The 400 displacement-ton Kjarki is a Hugrekki-class schooner designed for regular naval operations and built at shipyards on Sacnoth. The ship is capable of jump-4 and 6G acceleration and has accommodations for eleven crew with one single-occupancy stateroom and double-occupancy staterooms for most crew and no low berths. The ship has a no small craft and can carry thirteen tons of cargo. Kjarki is armed with four triple missile turrets. The streamlined, amoured ship has fuel scoops for skimming unrefined fuel from a gas giant and a fuel purification plant.
The Hugrekki-class are state-of-the-art warships intended to take the place of retiring Tapperhed-class schooners. Kjarki is based at the Joyeuse Bastion and is assigned to patrol duty along the Horseshoe.

Iblis

The 400 displacement-ton Iblis is a Satan-class schooner designed for regular naval operations and built at shipyards on Hofud. The ship is capable of jump-4 and 6G acceleration and has accommodations for ten crew with one single-occupancy stateroom and double-occupancy staterooms for most crew and no low berths. The ship has a no small craft and can carry ten tons of cargo. Iblis is armed with two triple missile turrets and two double fusion turrets. The streamlined, amoured ship has fuel scoops for skimming unrefined fuel from a gas giant and a fuel purification plant.
The Satan-class are state-of-the-art warships intended to take the place of retiring Kali-class schooners. Iblis is based at the Hofud will typically be encountered on patrol duty along the Dyrnwyn Spur and in the Rim Colonies.

The 400 displacement-ton Freydís is an Iðunn-class auxiliary designed for Dominate Patrol survey operations and built at shipyards on Sacnoth. The ship is capable of jump-3 and 2G acceleration and has accommodations for ten crew with double-occupancy staterooms for most crew and no low berths. The ship carries one pinnace (50-ton small craft) and can carry 20 tons of cargo. Freydís is unarmed but has four hardpoints. The unstreamlined ship can be refuelled using a pinnace module for skimming unrefined fuel from a gas giant; Freydís has a fuel purification plant.
Freydís is based at Tizon and is charged with surveying worlds throughout the Horseshoe and recently completed the Patrol's first survey of the Entropic Worlds.

The partially-streamlined ship has fuel scoops for skimming unrefined fuel from a gas giant but no fuel purification plant.
Based at Gram, Commodore Faye serves a regular route along the Horseshoe to Tizon, alternating with extensions further along the Horseshoe to Morglay, or along the Far Leg to Sacnoth or along the Dyrnwyn Spur to Hofud.

The 800 displacement-ton, jump-3, 3G acceleration Kyrrð is an Eldfluga-class carrack built at shipyards on Gram. The ship has acccommodations for fifteen crew (pilot, navigator, chief medic, chief engineer, four engineers, three stewards, two medics and two pinnace pilots), fifteen staterooms for high (or middle) passengers and no low berths. The ship has 80 tons of cargo hold and carries two pinnaces (40-ton small craft), two all-terrain vehicles (used for passenger tours while in port) and one air/raft. It has eight hardpoints but no weaponry is installed. The unstreamlined ship has no fuel scoops — the pinnaces are equipped for fuel skmming — but a fuel purification plant is installed.
Based at Gram, Kyrrð serves an irregular route focused on the worlds of the Far Leg and the Rim Colonies, seeking to compete with Sacnoth-based commercial shipping on these worlds (while returning to Gram for annual maintenance and crew rotation).

The ship has acccommodations for 25 crew and 20 passengers with a handful of single-occupancy staterooms, double-occupancy staterooms for most crew and passengers and no low berths. The ship carries two pinnaces (50-ton small craft), two all-terrain vehicles and one air/raft. It is armed with triple pulse laser turrets. The partially-streamlined ship has fuel scoops for skimming unrefined fuel from a gas giant and a fuel purification plant.

The ship is capable of jump-2 and 1G acceleration and has accommodations for seventeen crew (pilot, navigator, chief steward, doctor, chief engineer, chief gunner, engineer medic, two stewards, four gunners and three yeomen), 40 staterooms for high (or middle) passengers and 50 low berths. The ship has four launches (20-ton small craft, which also serve as lifeboats) and can carry 332 tons of cargo. Shantidas has two double pulse laser turrets and two triple sandcaster turrets and has an unstreamlined hull.
