Vega District

Worlds | Map | Commerce

Named for its brightest star (at hex-prism 1826.14), the Vega District contains 27 worlds.  District population in is excess of 700 million with over two-thirds at the Nyanzan agricultural world Wadai.  Other major worlds in the district are the independent agriculural worlds Sìchuān, Gassim and Cayo and the independent resource world Novosibirskaya.

Vega is one of the core districts surrounding Earth which is just one parsec to core-nadirward of hex-prism 1721.18.  The Commonwealth is very influential in the district, maintaining naval bases at Attica, Colombo, Shirak, Nuikang, Iberville, Jalisco and Cayo and scout bases at several other independent worlds.  The Federation of Nyanza is also influential in the district, maintaining naval bases at Wadai, Al-Qunayṭrah and Kalangala and scout bases at several other independent worlds.

Most worlds in the district are independent.  Five worlds claim allegiance to the Commonwealth of Earth to core-nadirward in Sirius District.  Two worlds claim allegiance to the Federation of Nyanza to spin-rimward in Nyanza District.

Total military forces in Vega District exceed 22 millon with the bulk at the Nyanzan world Wadai.
